Black Sherif Arrested At Airport

On the evening of July 19, 2023, the musician Black Sherif was picked up at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).

According to a broadcast that aired on Kofi TV, his entry into the country was halted as a result of the fact that his name had been included on a “STOP LIST.”

The move, according to Kofi Adomah, presenter of the Kofi TV channel on YouTube, was due to a contract that he had failed to honor, which resulted in a complaint being filed against him. Consequently, the transfer was made.

Reports of the ‘arrest’ were prevalent on social media despite the fact that there were no photos or videos available; now, a blogger by the name of Nkonkonsa has published what looks to be the first images of Blacko being led out of the airport.

The video was uploaded to Twitter, and it shows the musician being led into a car by two people: one of them is dressed in mufti, while the other is a police officer.

According to the report on Kofi TV, the musician was taken from the airport to the headquarters of the police department in Accra.

The disputed contract involves a performance on July 4 that he did not carry out as agreed upon in Greece.

“We called our sources, and it appears that it is due to a contractual issue he has to play on a cruise ship in Greece having charged US$40,000 and receiving half of the amount. This is why he is doing it,” our sources told us.

Kofi said that after playing the concert, the man was entitled to receive the remaining balance.

The performance was supposed to take place on July 4, but Blacko did not show up.
